In Miami, I got to know so many people of different cultures – I met people from Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, India, Thailand, and more. I would ask them questions about their home countries and families, the differences they saw between America and their homelands. I felt like I got to know a little bit of all those different cultures through the people I met. My heart also broke for those that I learned did not know Christ. I still think about and pray for the people I met that summer. That vibrant, musical, friendly city took a piece of my heart forever.
