Cru is a community passionate about connecting people to Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to help fulfill the Great Commission in this generation through the power of the Holy Spirit by winning people to faith in Jesus Christ, building them in their faith, and sending them out to do the same.
Cru was originally founded as Campus Crusade for Christ in 1951, when Bill and Vonette Bright began the ministry on the UCLA campus. God had given Bill the vision to "reach the campus today, reach the world for Christ tomorrow". Since then, Cru has expanded into various ministries in over 190 countries.
Our Mission is to win, build, and send Christ-centered multiplying disciples who launch spiritual movements. Our Vision is to see movements everywhere so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.
