DISCIPLESHIP
Discipleship Course Conclusion
Congratulations! You have completed this course on discipleship.
Disciples are meant to grow as they go, so we hope you will carry these lessons with you as move forward. But take a moment to remind yourself of what you've learned so far.
- You have learned how to define discipleship as a friendship between two individuals seeking to know Jesus more. You know that the foundational components to prepare your heart for discipleship are:
- Your relationship with Jesus.
- Direction from the Holy Spirit.
- Your desire to know, serve and lead your disciple.
- You’ve learned how to select the right person to help grow in faith.
- You’ve thought about what creates a strong environment for spiritual growth.
- You have learned the basic outline of a typical discipleship meeting.
God calls us to make disciples and guides us in doing so through His Holy Spirit. You have not been left to figure this out alone. He is with you. And we also want to serve you in any way we can.
Remember the following as you go:
- Be clear about the commitment you’re making by going through the simple questions outlined in Lesson 2.
- You are not responsible for anyone else’s relationship with God. Every follower of Jesus is ultimately responsible for his or her own growth.
- You can create an environment that helps another person grow. Find some great ideas for this in Lesson 4.
- It’s helpful to have a person mentoring you as you start helping someone else grow in faith. Who can you ask?
Are you ready to continue on your journey of knowing God by helping others experience Him?
We want to join you, and we have an app designed to help take you from the end of this course into the adventure of making disciples for a lifetime.
