Good news travels fast. In this carol the night wind passed the news on to the little lamb, who spoke to the shepherd boy, who addressed the king, who then reached “the people everywhere.”
The messages got through because someone spoke up, and because the audience was listening. Do you think the mighty king would have paid attention to the night wind? God has placed you around some people who might listen to you talk about Him, but wouldn’t hear the same thing from someone else’s mouth. That can never be our excuse for not trying: what if the shepherd boy in the song thought himself too beneath the presence of a King?
Your “circle of influence” is always bigger than you think. Look around you and speak up. Someone’s listening.
