FAQ

The desire to know God is to open one’s heart to accept His protection, guidance and all the blessings He has promised. We can’t just know God and experience His grace overnight. It’s a lifetime of knowing, learning and understanding because it doesn’t end in just knowing about Him. Knowing God leads us to build a relationship with Him and to walk towards His path through Jesus Christ.

This page is dedicated to those who are seeking God. We have a rich collection of stories and essays that explore how others came to know God and transformed their lives.
God’s revelation is not something to be treated as a mystical experience but realising that His presence is everywhere through His creations— the world, nature, people, basically all things in existence. Secondly, God revealed Himself when Jesus was born. Lastly, the Bible is a documentation of God’s revelation of Himself throughout history.
To seek God is to receive His truth in one’s heart. The act of seeking God is by praying, doing service in the community and righteous living. People also seek God in times of fear, trouble and loneliness. Also, remember that God also seeks us.

“Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” — Luke 19:9-10
Many Christians strongly believe that knowing God is life’s greatest pursuit. To know God is to build a personal relationship with Him. As believers, we accept God’s truth through His son Jesus. You can talk about the principles that explain how you can begin a relationship with God.
Cru is a community of Christ believers. We seek God through actively participating in community activities such as worship, bible study, mission trips and other Christian ministries. Belonging to a community that shares a strong belief in God’s word and Jesus is one step to knowing God. Aside from joining a community, here are 3 simple steps to know God.
  1. Make a conscious choice to study God by reading the Bible, listening to a pastor’s sermon and devoting a small part of your day to praying and reading God’s word.
  2. Trusting God with all our hearts means we will obey Him. Jesus always reminded his disciples about the commandments. Therefore, it is also our duty to obey God's truth, which deepens our relationship with Him.
  3. We make our own quality time with God by praying. We are allowed to feel His presence through the Holy Spirit.
Building a relationship with God shouldn’t be complicated. It’s always through acts of prayer and service that we begin to build a meaningful relationship with Him. Remember that a personal relationship with God means you can talk to Him everywhere because all creation in this world is his manifestation. Learn to listen and hear God’s voice by having pleasant thoughts and obeying His will. Lastly, develop a relationship with others who also seek Him.
