Inner City Internships

Share the Good News. Serve the Poor.

Becoming a Cru® staff, intern or part-time paid field staff and working in the inner city is not easy. But, if you are ready to take a step of faith and willing to be used by God, join us!

What is it?

The Inner City Internship is a 1–2 year opportunity with Cru Inner City designed to give you a chance to further develop your abilities to make disciples in urban ministry. You can be making a powerful impact in the lives of people while deciding where God is leading you full-time.

What will I do?

You will be working alongside people whom God has called to live, serve, and raise families in an urban context. You will have the opportunity to mentor youth, feed the homeless, prepare people for jobs, organize programs that provide vital resources for the poor, or use your professional skills in computers, administration, music, graphic design, or another language to reach people with God's love and mercy.

How much does it cost?

Living expenses vary from city to city. Cru Inner City interns work together as a cohort to raise the financial support needed for each of them to serve as interns. Check out the video below about the Allied Support Raising Model.

Also, watch Amanda Kaufman explain what it's like to be an intern.
