Urban Internship

How will you invest your life?

Give a Year

Urban Ministry Internship (UMI) is a 1- to 2-year opportunity designed to give you a chance to further develop your abilities in urban ministry. You can be making a powerful impact in the lives of people while deciding where God is leading you full-time.

What will I do?

Work alongside people whom God has called to live, serve, and raise families in an urban context. Mentor youth, feed the homeless, prepare people for jobs, organize programs that provide vital resources for the poor, or use your professional skills in computers, administration, music, graphic design, or another language to reach people with God's love and mercy.

Where will I live?

Urban Ministry Interns live with or near local Cru staff members where they serve.

What cities provide internships?

Chicago, Detroit, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City and Seattle.

What does an internship cost?

Living expenses vary from city to city. The intern raises his or her own financial support with instruction and coaching from a Cru Inner City staff member.
