"I Couldn't Stop Reading"

In the Middle East, a 23-year-old young man named Halidu* approached our staff for a Bible. Initially, his intention was not to explore Christianity but to find errors in the Bible. However, when Halidu started reading, he was drawn to the Book of John, mainly because he had a friend named John (according to Halidu’s testimony). As he read through the night, something unexpected happened. Halidu began to sense a deep truth in the words of the Bible, and he couldn’t stop reading. At 4:30 a.m., Cru® staff received a call from him. He shared that he wanted to know more about Jesus and had decided to start attending church. Today, Halidu is a committed member at a local church where he is growing steadily in his faith and walking with the Lord.
