Charity meets the Master As a single mother, Charity works hard to provide for her three children and also care for her elderly grandmother. But their small garden barely yields enough food to survive.

When the local Unto® team heard about their situation, they visited the family’s home and brought meals. Everyone’s eyes grew wide with gratitude as they accepted the gift of rice and beans.

The team sat with the family and got to know them. As they talked, our staff shared the gospel.

Charity was moved by the message of Jesus and His kindness. She responded in faith. Then her grandmother decided to follow Jesus too!

She shared, “Today, we have received more than just food. We have received hope and a new lease on life.” Charity and her family don’t want to keep the good news to themselves. They are eager to tell others about God’s love and kindness. 

Shortly after getting married, everything in Kai’s* life changed.

Like so many women in tough places, Kai felt intense pressure to marry. But soon after her wedding, she began to experience spiritual oppression.

In her closed country, it is not uncommon for people to experience sickness and demonic possession. Then they go to the local witch doctor for help. Kai tried everything, but nothing made her well.

When a local Unto® team came to Kai’s village to drill a new water well, they also shared about Jesus. Kai became curious and went to the local house church to ask for prayer.

As the church members prayed for Kai, a miracle happened. She was healed, and the demons afflicting her immediately entered two pigs — killing the pigs!

Today, Kai and her husband both follow Jesus, and even host a small house church in their home!
