Finding Peace and Community through Video Games

Have you ever considered sharing the gospel through video games?

That’s what 300 students did in August 2025. Through generous donations, Cru® placed digital ads featuring the simple question, “Do you want to reach people for Jesus through video games?”

More than one-third of the individuals who responded to the advertisement joined the community of video game evangelists.

“I have years of experience helping run Roblox churches. I just saw that Cru was doing gaming outreach and wanted to be a part of it if I could,” said Isaac, pictured above, who is a part of the video game outreach.

In this community, students share their hopes, attend evangelism training, and collaborate.

“We have lots of gamers in our Cru student leaders and a whole e-sports building on campus,” said one student named Connor. “I could be the only believer [some gamers] talk to, especially with my online friends, who spend most of their spare time playing.

“They are seeking peace and community through video games, but I have the incredible opportunity to point my friends to the source of all hope and peace, Jesus Christ!”

Since 1951, Cru has helped individuals who grapple with integrating faith into daily life by offering practical steps and community support. As a result, countless people in over 190 countries have been empowered to move from passive belief to active faith.
