Boxes of Love® - Inner City Bakersfield
See how a Box of Love® delivered to America's house was just the beginning of finding fresh options for faith, community, and friendship.
The purpose of the Box of Love outreach is to provide a Thanksgiving meal to a family who might not otherwise have one. All the ingredients and preparation instructions are carefully packaged and delivered to families who would normally not be able to afford such a meal. This method of compassion preserves the dignity of the family and allows them to have a feast in their very own home. It also provides the opportunity to connect and establish a relationship.
Boxes of Love® are packed and distributed by local community church volunteers trained by the inner-city ministry of Cru in Bakersfield.
