Daniel Tavsancea
Capacity Vice President for Operations and Fund Capacity
As a university student in post-communist Romania, Dan Tavsancea met Jesus. This life-changing encounter caused him to dedicate his life to spreading the good news of Christ. Dan’s involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ at university was foundational to his spiritual growth and development. He became a staff member after graduating in 1995.
Since then, Dan has taken on increasing leadership responsibility in national, regional and global roles. In Romania, he served as Director of Operations and a member of the National Leadership Team, overseeing human resources, finance and ministry infrastructure.
As Regional Operations Director from 2006 to 2015 in Budapest, Hungary, Dan gave operational support to ministries in 20 countries across Eastern Europe and Russia. From 2016 to 2020, he and his wife, Anca, led regional efforts in six of the most developed ministries in the Eastern Europe region.
In 2020, Dan became Global Director for Partner Development. He formed a multicultural team of leaders from various parts of the world to shape the ministry’s approach to local partner development and financial sustainability. He became Global Capacity Vice President for Operations and Fund Capacity in 2025.
Dan is known for his high-level strategic thinking and ability to navigate complex challenges. Through his relational leadership, collaborative posture and giftedness in operations and fund development, Dan continues to work towards the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Dan and Anca reside in Budapest and have two adult daughters.
