Steve Douglass

Steve Douglass was a man of radical faith and deep humility who dedicated over five decades to the mission. Many knew Steve for his strategic mind — having earned an MBA from Harvard — yet his true passion was personal evangelism and the spiritual vitality of the movement. He served as Cru’s president for nearly 20 years, succeeding Bill Bright, until 2020. Beyond his leadership, Steve was an avid writer, speaker and host of the Making Your Life Count radio program. Alongside his wife, Judy, he was a devoted father to Debbie, Michelle and Josh. Until his passing in 2022, Steve’s greatest joy was “redeeming the time” to share Christ with anyone, whether in a boardroom or a neighboring airplane seat.
