The Ministry Right Where She Was

A new role, but God’s calling continues. Eully Falguera’s journey as an Affiliate Staff with Cru Philippines brings her back to something God planted in her heart years ago.

Eully was introduced to Christ at a young age, and as she grew older, so did her faith and hunger for God. In 2004, a churchmate involved in Cru’s Professional Ministry invited her to Influencers International. She was actively involved with Cru until 2010 when she transitioned into greater involvement in church ministry. In 2025, God reconnected her with Bing Velasco who invited her to join the *Affiliate Program of Leader Impact.

Her first years with Cru became foundational to her faith. At the time, Eully struggled with the assurance of her salvation, believing she had to earn God's acceptance through good works. Through Cru, she came to understand that salvation is a gift from God received through faith in Jesus Christ. This changed not only how she viewed God, but also how she understood ministry - not as a way to earn His favor, but as a response to His grace.

A defining moment for her came in 2005 as she joined Operation Jabez and traveled to a Matigsalug community in Monkayo, Davao de Oro. There, she witnessed children, parents, and tribal leaders publicly place their faith in Jesus. Forty-two families were baptized as worship songs echoed through the forest. The experience opened her eyes to the reality of the Great

Commission and helped her see her workplace and everyday relationships as mission fields.

This calling eventually led her to workplace ministry. In 2008, while working at an appliance store, Eully became part of a discipleship group where several of her co-workers came to know Christ. Some eventually introduced Jesus to their families, and she had the privilege of watching them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Since 2013, Eully has worked at an automotive dealership in Davao City. For years, she struggled to establish a discipleship group and even considered leaving the company. When she received another job offer, she initially assumed it was God's provision but after praying and reflecting on God’s Word, she chose to surrender her plans to God and stay.

In August 2023, a co-worker asked her what it meant to be "born again." Eully took the opportunity to share the Gospel, and her workmate received Jesus Christ. That conversation became the beginning of a discipleship group at work, through which God raised up three disciples who continue to grow and serve. One of them is Cazie who had been experiencing deep hopelessness and had prayed for someone to talk to. Her invitation to the discipleship group became an unexpected answer to that prayer. Through the Gospel, Cazie encountered the hope and love of Jesus and is now growing as a disciple and is helping disciple students herself.

God continues to open doors for Eully to influence her workplace through character-building training and mentoring opportunities. What began years ago as a desire to follow Jesus has become an ongoing opportunity to make Him known wherever God has placed her.

Looking back, Eully sees God's faithfulness throughout her journey - from her childhood, to her first involvement with Cru, and now to her workplace ministry. But more than anything, she hopes people remember this: God is faithful. He has a purpose for every life, and He can use anyone willing to trust Him, obey Him, and make themselves available for His Kingdom.

For Eully, it is a journey of simply being available to God.

Making Jesus known, one life at a time.
