Ministry Partner testimony - Anthony Miro

Despite the grief of losing his wife of 27 years, Anthony Miro's faith in the Lord never faded. 

When his wife’s health started to decline, worry crept into his heart, and he feared losing his partner. However, his wife would constantly remind him not to worry and that God is sovereign. With him being away from his wife, he became more restless because his wife's condition continued to worsen, until God called her to heaven. It was at that moment that Anthony questioned the Lord about why He did not allow them to see his wife in her last moments. Despite this, God’s perfect peace embraced him and his children as they grieved. He was also reminded of his devotion 3 days before his wife’s health started to decline. God said in Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

He is still grieving, yet God’s perfect peace continues to embrace him in this season. No matter what season they are in, He said that they will glorify God. With the prayers of his close friends and family, his heart became stronger knowing that God is always in control and that He has a purpose for his life. As he starts his new journey as a single parent, he is reminded of his wife’s constant advice to him: Worry not; God is sovereign. 

In good times and in bad times, God is good. He stated that God is faithful and kind to those who seek and pray earnestly to Him. He will answer, and He will provide. We will be surprised by what God can do in His perfect timing.

Anthony is looking forward to what God can do in their family because God is the Rock Eternal of their life.
