Arise & Shine: QC prayer walk 2026

Despite the rainy weather, government officials and staff, along with the CRU community, have gathered for one purpose: to pray for the beloved Quezon City and the Philippines.

With everything happening in our country, it is easy to feel hopeless. More than that, people are still fighting their own spiritual battles in their daily lives. This is why those whose faith is in God must rise and fight for the country through prayer and service. The message speaker stated that God is still here and that there is still hope for the Philippines. His glory is still here, and He is working His plans for the country in silence– in ways we cannot fully comprehend. However, we must also act as a catalyst for the betterment of our nation, to put our faith into action.

Step into the mission. Revival begins with an awakened heart.

After that powerful message, praise reports from the government officials were shared with the people. Stories of how God’s favor sustained them and worked through them– testimonies that shed light on the sovereignty of God and His favor to His people. God is particularly working on accountability and transparency, specifically when it comes to financial matters. It allows the people to stay grounded and honest with the public, which is crucial in the national situation right now. God’s provision is evident in each department. Although there were moments of transition, especially in the government operations and phasing, God continued to be their rock and foundation, their guiding light in the darkness.

There were many stories of blessings and favors shared during the session. These stories became an encouragement and assurance that God never stops His work for the Philippines.

Because of the rain, the prayer walk happened only inside the building, where groups of 10 prayed on each floor. Each person prayed for the people in the government, the country, and the world's crises. They also surrendered the corruption to God so that it would be removed and that more Christian politicians and officials would be appointed to make Christ known inside the government. With one heart, these people desire for the country to see Jesus more. To make the Philippines a real Christian country that knows Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Prayer is a battleground too. We continue to seek and knock at the door of Jesus’ house and lay down our needs. He desires for us to be constant and eager for change. A change that is anchored in His will. What He wants is for us to arise for the country and shine His light to our sphere of influence. Whether in our family, community, campus, or workplace, God’s light will shine as long as we allow ourselves to be used and to be sent by HIm.

We arise for Him, because He first rose and shone His light upon us.

Wake our spirits for His glory alone.
