Ministry Partner testimony - Kathy Yu

Kathy Yu is a faithful ministry partner of CRU. During her college days, she dreamed of being a missionary for the Great Commission. Empowered by her desire to fulfill this, she continuously pursued the path that the Lord laid for her. However, it seems that her calling was not on the field. Despite this, Kathy remained faithful in the priorities God gave her, such as her career after graduation. 

In 1995, a churchmate asked her if she would be willing to support a missionary. She gladly said yes to being a ministry partner and continued to do so until she got married and had to stop working to focus on her fertility treatment. Then, in 2008, she once again became a ministry partner to a new missionary. For almost 18 years, she had been serving the Great Commission by being a ministry partner, teaming up with the people who go to the field. She believed that the Great Commission is not done by a single person, but through a faithful partnership with one another who believe and desire to reach the same goal.

She believed that her calling is not to be a missionary, but to be a ministry partner.

The Lord blesses those who said yes to His command. Kathy has seen God’s favor and blessing in her family and their business. She also learned more and grew in her relationship with the Lord as a ministry partner. She stated, “If you cannot go (because of circumstances) and if someone is willing to go, then you support that.” 

Kathy Yu’s story is a reminder that God uses people to be a blessing, and He also makes sure to bless those who obey Him and go the extra mile for the Great Commission.
