"My involvement in Maritime Life and Cadet Christian Fellowship (CCF) helped me grow closer to God and strengthen my faith, especially while working onboard and being away from my family. It also gave me a community where I could learn, pray, and share my experiences with fellow seafarers. My top three highlights were the meaningful fellowship with fellow seafarers, the inspiring talks and sharing of God’s Word, and the quiet moments of reflection and prayer. The retreat gave me a chance to step back from my usual routine and refocus my life and purpose on God. Through ML/CCF, I have become more patient, prayerful, and intentional in my relationship with God and with other people. I am also learning to trust God more in difficult situations and to carry my faith with me in my work and daily life."

"Cadet Christian Fellowship (CCF) gave me an unshakeable spiritual anchor right inside the demanding world of maritime training. This community surrounds me with faith-filled peers, turning the heavy pressures of cadet life into opportunities to trust God more deeply. Top 3 highlights I had during the vision retreats I attended: Realizing that everything we do in our daily routines and duties is a genuine form of worship, experiencing profound, restorative quiet time with God away from the noise of academy drills, learning that true success in Christian witnessing means taking the initiative to share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results entirely to Him. It has shaped me into a resilient, empathetic leader who relies on grace rather than personal grit alone. I no longer just chase academic and leadership success but view every responsibility as a chance to honor Christ."

"My involvement in the Maritime Life Ministry / Cadet Christian Fellowship (CCF) taught me that I am never alone in whatever battle I am facing because I have God and His people walking with me. Through the fellowship, I became closer and more intimate with God, especially during times when I felt tired, lost, or overwhelmed. One of the biggest things I learned was that we are saved to serve, and we are called to share God with others rather than keep what we have received to ourselves. I also learned that we are called to plant the seed and faithfully share God's Word. One of the most personal changes I have seen in myself is how I respond to anger and hurt because I grew up in a family where shouting, anger, and harsh words were sometimes normal, and I realized that I was beginning to carry that generational trauma with me. Through CCF, God helped me realize that generational trauma does not have to define me or be passed on to the next generation, so I am learning to stop, pray, and respond calmly, especially when someone hurts me intentionally or unintentionally. I even pray for the people who hurt me—for their well-being, their success, and their lives—because I believe God is teaching me not to hate them back, but to love them more and leave the rest in His hands."

"My involvement in Cadet Christian Fellowship (CCF) helped me to serve the Lord in the academy despite being busy. In addition, during every CCF service, listening to different preachings helped me gain knowledge on how I can always be faithful to the Lord. During the CCF retreat that I attended, having a time of open discussion about life experiences and reading the Bible, learning the techniques of inductive bible study, and to learn the right way of sharing my testimony are the top 3 highlights I had. Hence, this experience and my learnings allow me to know and understand the importance of being faithful to God in every life situation and reading the Bible effectively. I have seen transformation in my life and character through my involvement with CCF ministry. I easily get burned out when faced with many academic challenges but I became more proactive in doing tasks one at a time. 'Everything has a purpose and God will never leave you nor forsake you.' served as my motivation despite having problems."

"I meet so many kind people who help me grow and gain knowledge not only in the maritime aspect but also in my walk towards Christlikeness. I met fellow Christians inside the academy through Cadet Christian Fellowship and eventually called them 'Family' to whom I can share my problems and help me grow closer to God. The most important thing that I learned is that worship is important, and that worship is all about glorifying the LORD in whatever we say, do and think. The transformation that I see in my life during my stay in the academy is becoming more disciplined and a good steward. Also, I am more aware of my actions and in making new friends inside the academy who can help me grow as a Christian."

"For three years, I had the privilege of serving in the Cadet Christian Fellowship (CCF) / Maritime Life Ministry through the music team. Through serving, I learned that my talents are not only for myself but can be used to praise God, encourage others, and share His love with fellow cadets and seafarers. My top three highlights were growing deeper in my relationship with God, building genuine friendships with fellow cadets, and discovering God’s purpose for my life. The retreats reminded me that beyond becoming a maritime professional, I am also called to be a vessel for God wherever He sends me. Through my involvement in ML/CCF, I became more intentional in my faith, more willing to serve, and more confident in sharing the Gospel. After three years of serving in MMMA, I realized that my purpose goes beyond my career at sea—I want to use my life and profession as an opportunity to share the Gospel around the world and glorify God wherever He leads me."

"My job here in MMMA became an avenue where I can serve the Lord. My involvement in Maritime Life Ministry & Cadet Christian Fellowship (CCF) has deepened my relationship with God and helped me align my purpose and live out Christ-centered values, knowing that as a formation officer and a Christian, cadets are looking up to me. Numerous times, I attended the retreat and as I helped facilitate the cadet retreat, I experienced spiritual renewal through prayer and worship, I gained a clearer understanding of God's vision for ministry, and my commitment was refreshed to serve cadets faithfully and intentionally. Every time I observe the challenges of cadets, all the more I realize the need to be more compassionate, more patient and intentional towards them and to my family as well. God has also taught me to lead with humility and total dependence in Christ alone."
