The team's first outreach in Thailand became a powerful reminder that God prepares hearts long before His people arrive. While ministering along the beach in Pattaya, they prayed that the Lord would lead them to someone He had already been drawing to Himself. Out of the 83 people they spoke with that evening, God led them to one unforgettable encounter.
They met a young woman named Nisha and began with a simple, friendly conversation. Since it was their first time in Thailand, they asked her for recommendations on places to eat. What began as a casual exchange quickly developed into a genuine conversation, allowing them to build rapport. As they talked, Nisha shared that she had some belief in Jesus, revealing an openness to spiritual conversations.
After spending about 30 minutes getting to know her, one of the team members shared the Gospel using The Four Symbols. Nisha listened attentively throughout the presentation. When she heard the words, "God loves you," her face lit up with a joyful smile. When asked if she wanted to receive Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, she did not fully understand the question at first. After it was explained more clearly, she responded with a sincere "yes" and prayed to receive Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Following her decision, Nisha shared that about two weeks earlier, another group had approached her to talk about God. However, she later realized they were associated with a cult. Although she had given them her phone number, she chose not to continue communicating with them because she felt uneasy and was too tired to respond. Looking back, the outreach team believed that God had already been stirring curiosity in her heart and preparing her to hear the truth of the Gospel. Before leaving, they gave Nisha a Bible and encouraged her to read it so she could grow in her relationship with God. When she expressed concern about understanding English, they recommended downloading a Bible app where she could read the Scriptures in her native Thai language.
The team left Pattaya rejoicing in what God had done that evening. Although they had meaningful conversations with 83 people, Nisha was the only person who received Jesus Christ that night. The experience served as a powerful reminder that every conversation has eternal value and that faithfully investing time in people is never wasted. They ask for continued prayer for Nisha as she begins her walk with Christ and grows in her faith, and they praise God for His faithfulness in drawing people to Himself. God truly reigns.
