This paradox statement was most evident in the entire Leadership Training Conference (LTC) 2025 journey. It was not just a simple remark of Christian living, but also a reality: the Christian life is impossible to live without Christ.
Leadership Training Conference (LTC) is one of the most highly anticipated events in Cru Southern Mindanao. The theme 'Nations & Generations' this year became meaningful and fruitful with a significant number of 177 delegates (including staff and facilitators) coming from different regions of Mindanao, including Surigao del Sur and Maguindanao. And we were also joined by two New Staff Trainees from Tanzania. This is what heaven would be like: seeing people from different tribes, nations, and tongues proclaiming the One true God who is eternal—Jesus Christ. It is indeed the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. To witness such a great avenue is a privilege and an opportunity as well to widely cast vision to reach out to the nations–this generation, and the generations to come.
The LTC Training sessions were both humbling and refreshing—a powerful reminder to stay deeply rooted in the foundations of our faith as we passionately respond to God’s call to help fulfill the Great Commission.
The message of consecration and commitment led us to pursue deeper intimacy with the Lord, who empowers and sends us by His Spirit into the harvest field.
To see young generations passionately learning and sharing the Gospel as a direct application after the LTC session was a great encouragement and affirmation from the Lord in my calling—to see the crowd with compassion and earnestly ask God to send more laborers in the harvest field/ mission field .
The Lord’s invitation is to ASK like a child asking his father when he needs or wants something. To ask earnestly is not simply a one–time prayer, but fervent prayers and petitions that He will send more laborers into His harvest field. Indeed, the Lord hears the prayers of His people. It is truly worth celebrating that 46 delegates indicated their desire to follow God’s call into full–time ministry with Cru. It also calls us to continue laboring in prayer and training as we equip God’s servants for the work ahead. We praise the Lord for His faithfulness and steadfast love revealed in the life of every person. But the Lord’s hands kept moving, extending the impact of LTC into different communities .After LTC, a teacher who joined the training began her Monday by sharing her faith with her students, and 90 youngsters were able to hear the message of God’s love in the classroom. Weekends became a meaningful time to pray and witness alongside some alumni, students, and church partners. They went to parks and public places, bringing hope and light to people as they shared the Gospel. While enjoying peace together, being built up, and walking in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, Christ caused growth, drawing even more people to hear His Word.
What took place in LTC was not merely the result of human effort, but the work of the Lord through His people—faithful, available, and willing to obey Him at any cost. To God be the glory.
