November 12 Is National Dine In Day

Eat in instead of going out, and help give Thanksgiving to a family in need.

Celebrate “National Dine In Day” on November 12.

Rather than eating out, make a date to “dine in” and donate the money you save to provide a Thanksgiving meal for families in need.

The “Dine In” campaign will use the donations to distribute Boxes of Love to partner churches and ministries across America.

Here’s Life Inner City supplies these boxes, which cost $36.71 each and contain a complete meal for a family of 6 -- including Christian materials for both adults and children.

The purpose of the Boxes of Love outreach is to hand-deliver a Thanksgiving meal to families who might not otherwise have one. Through compassionate evangelism, the body of Christ can step out in faith to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the poor.

After dining in on November 12 (or another night of your choosing), donate the saved meal cost by logging into the “Dine In” website.

For some families, it may seem strange to set apart National Dine In Day when “dining in” is an everyday norm. If that is the case, we encourage you to celebrate this night as a special event. Some ideas include:

  • Invite friends, family, or your Bible study over for a potluck.
  • Cook a favorite meal to celebrate family achievements.
  • Get creative with an indoor picnic theme.

Through your partnership, Here’s Life Inner City hopes to feed thousands of families with Boxes of Love this holiday season.

“Dine In” is a concrete way of partnering together across America to respond to the needs of men and women with the hope of Jesus Christ.
