Are you celebrating #GivingTuesday?

November 30, 2015

Giving Tuesday is a simple idea.

On Tuesday, Dec. 1, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: To celebrate generosity and to give.

We celebrate Black Friday and Cyber Monday, why not also celebrate a day to give back?

You can find a way for your family, community, company or your organization to come together and give something more. Then you can tell everyone about your giving and join in celebrating a new tradition of generosity.

So how can you give back?

Josh McDowell Ministry

Tragedy, suffering and hopelessness seem to be constant in this world. This year, the Josh McDowell Ministry is raising funds to share Jesus throughout the world from equipping seminary students in Asia to providing resources like books and DVDs to North Africa and the Middle East.

Consider giving a gift to help equip the Josh McDowell Ministry to share the gospel of Jesus worldwide at www.Josh.org/GivingTuesday. Each donation will be multiplied thanks to a $200,000 challenge grant.

GAIN

Global Aid Network (GAiN) is meeting needs worldwide this year through their online gift catalog.

By participating in #GivingTuesday this year you can give a new pair of shoes to a young boy in East Africa, a bottle of vitamins to a sick widow, a change of clothes to a refugee or a care pack filled with school supplies.

GAiN works to meet humanitarian needs and share the the hope of the Gospel through word and deed with those who so desperately need the love of the Savior. Consider giving by looking through the gift catalog.

JESUS Film Project

The people of Nepal live in a nation clouded in “spiritual darkness,” but when given a chance to hear and see, many will believe the good news. This #GivingTuesday you can help reach men, women and children in the Himalayas.

This Tuesday, you can help send a new language translation of “JESUS” from The JESUS Film Project to more than 55 million Northwestern Tamang of Nepal. Better known to most through stories of mountaineering expeditions, they are some of the least reached people in the world.

A new language translation is $38,000, but thanks to a Challenge Grant your gift will be doubled up to $19,000 to send “JESUS” to the Northwestern Tamang people of Nepal. Is there a greater gift than Jesus? You can shine His light and share “JESUS” with the people in Nepal who have yet to know Him.

Campus

There are 151 million students attending college in the world right now. Give them an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus this #GivingTuesday.

Cru is working to reaching students all over the world with Jesus’ message of love through our “Gospel Expansion” campaign. Donations will go towards Winter Conferences, Evangelistic Forums, Global Missions and Cru’s evangelistic website EveryStudent.com, which has seen over 18 million hits in 40 languages this year.

Beginning on #GivingTuesday until Dec. 31, your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar through our Gospel Expansion Matching Challenge.

FamilyLife

FamilyLife is working to equip families through their resources to find help, courage and hope. This #GivingTuesday you can give to the $2 million year-end matching challenge.

Every dollar you give to FamilyLife will be tripled, which means your gift will help three times as many families find the hope they are searching for. We hope you’ll consider a gift to help build stronger families and a better society in the coming year.

Don’t miss your opportunity to make twice the impact through these outreaches.

Stand with us as we seek out people across the globe who have never heard, never believed, never accepted Christ and give them a life-altering opportunity to find Jesus.
