Full of passion to help others know, love and follow Jesus, Cheryl got involved with Cru in her first year as a student at Texas Tech University. She joined the staff of Cru immediately after graduating in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising. She spent 17 years in the campus ministry — 12 of which were in Russia, where she helped give leadership to the national ministry.
She returned to the U.S.A. in 2011 to help launch Cru’s City ministry, focusing on establishing the ministry to graduating students transitioning to life after university. In 2013 she began leading Digital Strategies for City, motivated by a desire to use technology to make disciples. In 2018 she joined the Global Digital Strategies Team and gave leadership to communications.
Cheryl is thrilled about the possibilities that the digital world brings to spread the good news of Jesus. Her heart’s desire is: “I want to make Jesus and His mission accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime they want to be a part of it.”
Cheryl loves spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and watching sports — especially gymnastics.
