Comm Lab FAQ

What does the conference cost cover?

The cost includes conference materials, snacks, and most meals (breakfast is included with your hotel room;  if you are staying elsewhere, breakfast is on your own).

What is the address of the IMMI Conference Center?

IMMI Conference Center is located at 18880 East Street, Westfield, IN 46074

What time does the conference start and end?

Comm Lab starts at 9:00 AM on Monday 2/10/20 and ends at 1:00 PM (after lunch) on Thursday 2/13/20.

When should I plan to arrive and depart?

  • Arrival: If you are flying, please schedule your flight to arrive on Sunday. Hotel reservations will start on Monday, but if you prefer to fly in on Sunday you will be able to request an additional hotel night during registration.
  • Departure: Please schedule all departing flights after 3:00 pm on Thursday.  (If you don’t plan to eat lunch with us that day, you can schedule a flight after 2:00 PM.) This will allow sufficient drive time to the airport.

If I need to fly, which airport do I fly into?

Please book your flight to Indianapolis International Airport.

Who will pick me up from the airport if I need a ride?

We will arrange airport rides for you. When you register, you will be asked if you need a ride from the airport. If you say yes, we will email you for your flight information so we can arrange your ride. (You may rent a vehicle if you’d like, but this is not covered in your conference cost.)

What are my housing options?

You will be asked to choose one of two options when you register.

  • Option 1: Let us arrange your housing. You may choose a single or double hotel room and give us any roommate preference. We will arrange transportation between the hotel and IMMI Conference Center.
  • Option 2: Find your own housing. You will also need to provide transportation to and from IMMI Conference Center.

Who do I contact if I have food allergies?

When you register you will be asked if you have any dietary needs such as food allergies or sensitivities. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

What will Comm Lab include?

You will hear engaging seminars from skilled communicators on essential elements of communication, developing a talk, discovering good illustrations, telling personal stories and much more. Your confidence will grow as you practice delivery skills (eye contact, gestures, and more) in the safe and encouraging environment of a small coaching group.

Who should I contact if I have questions?

Please contact Denise DiSarro (denise.disarro@cru.org, 317-867-0400 x529).
