Most visitors meet Juneau on a cruise ship stopover—they see the best downtown has to offer, they hike a trail or two, and then they’re on their way. But pull back the curtain and spend a little time getting to know Juneau and its locals, and you’ll see its deep need. It is a beautiful city, yes, but also a broken city needing the good news of Jesus. Juneau Summer Mission exists to get the gospel to Juneau—to love God, to love Juneau, and to love people.
A few things set Juneau Summer Mission apart:
We normally and naturally form relationships with Juneau locals. As you work in the city and enlist the outdoor expertise of local friends to explore Juneau, you’ll practice sharing the gospel naturally with those you care about most [we also play Ultimate Frisbee with locals every Sunday night].
We major on biblical manhood and womanhood. In Juneau you’ll learn and experience what it looks like to be a man or woman of God in the context of committed, authentic Christian brotherhood or sisterhood.
We learn how to follow Jesus in the most beautiful classroom possible: the Alaskan wilderness. If being outside stirs your affections for Christ, you’ll experience him in new and powerful ways in Juneau.
Come join us for the adventure of a lifetime.
