Acadia Lifelines Expedition

TO LIVE A LIFE OF ADVENTURE.

TO KNOW AND BE KNOWN.

TO EXPERIENCE BEAUTY.

God created us with a longing for adventure. God created us to know him and be known by him.  God created us with a need to be known by others.  God created us to know who we are.  God created us to live in a beautiful place.  God created us to have an eternal impact on the world.

Beauty can be found in creation, the majesty of the mountains and the power of the sea, but there is more to it than that.  We can know about Abraham Lincoln or the people who sit next to us in class, but there is more to it than that. We can seek adventure by traveling abroad or  whitewater rafting, but there is more to it than that. We can have a lasting impact with our careers and families but there is more to it than that.

This is a fallen world. It’s a battle to get back to what we were created for. The battle is long and we are weary.  But we don’t fight alone. We are called to be in community with God and each other fighting together for restoration. Augustine said “to fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.”

We’ll spend ten days in Maine’s beautiful Acadia National Park hiking, climbing, camping, and paddling.  We'll be learning what it really means to experience beauty, to know and be known, and to live lives of adventure. We’ll also focus on how your life can truly have an eternal impact on the world in a way that brings rescue and restoration to those around you.

There isn’t anything more powerful than experiencing a taste of the kind of life God created us to live. In fact we believe it can change the course of your life.  Join us in pressing pause on our everyday to get away and experience what we were created for.
