Prayer Summer Mission

”Every great movement of God can be traced to a kneeling figure.”-Dwight L Moody

Jesus called us to go make disciples, but first He called us to pray. Jesus called us to bear much fruit, but first He said to abide in Him. Jesus called us to be His witnesses, but first He commanded us to wait for the Holy Spirit. Surely, Jesus has called us, His disciples, to go bear much fruit and be His witnesses, but we cannot do so apart from Him. We cannot do so apart from prayer. Prayer is not just an important part of fulfilling the Great Commission; it is essential to it.

Are you ready to go deeper in prayer and be the abiding, fruit-bearing witnesses Jesus has called you to be? Do you desire to grow deeper in your intimacy with the Lord and evangelize from that place of abiding? Do you long to see strongholds broken, walls come down, and the nations reached with the gospel? Our greatest tool to know Him deeply and greatest weapon to defeat the enemy are one and the same: prayer. Students that engage in this mission will develop a greater heart for prayer and a larger toolkit for leveraging prayer to advance the Great Commission! They will be equipped to lead others on their campus in a Spirit-inspired prayer movement that partners with God to powerfully change their campus and the world!

On this summer mission, we will first connect in person over a weekend retreat, enjoying sweet fellowship with each other and God. The next weeks will feature virtual connection points where we learn more about prayer, its need in the Great Commission, and how to grow in our own personal prayer lives. During those weeks, we will be challenged to share our faith in the power of the Holy Spirit, abiding in Jesus, and remaining devoted to prayer. (You may even receive a few surprises during those weeks, too!) We’ll conclude our mission with another in-person weekend retreat where we get to celebrate all God did and look forward to how we will return to campus with a new devotion to prayer and hunger to see the Great Commission fulfilled from a place of abiding and intimacy with the Lord.

Are you ready to make prayer the priority it needs to be? Join us and see all that God can do in and through prayer.
