Women, are you ready to journey into a deeper walk with God as you journey into the Wilderness of Alaska? This expedition is set in the remote village of Port Alsworth in the stunning beauty of Lake Clark National Park. As a women’s only trip, we will focus on your identity in Christ and how to live more fully from that place.
After a few days of exploring the beauty of the location, you will serve at a Tanalian Bible Camp, a local ministry for a week. The camp serves youth from across many other remote villages, many of whom are Native Alaskan. This will be a chance to practice evangelism as well as building up those who already follow Christ. You will be challenged by this cross-cultural experience as well as be rewarded by the relationships you build at camp, with other volunteers and how God will use you that week. Your role that week will be either as a counselor or some type of support staff.
After a week of serving, we will debrief your experience there and then head deeper into the Wilderness of Lake Clark National Park for several days of personal discovery and growth. We will camp in the “midnight sun,” explore remote waterfalls, hike a mountain overlooking the lake, camp on a remote beach and fish for Alaskan salmon and greyling. We will learn more about the local culture and how God has created us each with unique gifts to serve him with.
So often the wilderness is the setting where God does this identity-defining work. We expect the Lord will use this trip to challenge and encourage you as you go “off the grid,” into a place of deeper dependence on him.
Women, don’t miss this experience!
