Welcome to Providence Summer Mission! This summer mission is centered around serving low-income children and families through outreach in inner-city public parks with a day-camp style, evangelistic youth program called Summer OFF. This accompanies the city's free summer lunch program. You will also be engaged in workplace ministry at your summer job. Join us for an exciting summer of engaging with kids and their families, making friends, personal discipleship, and community outreach!
Apply by January 31st and get connected with employers that pay $12.75/hr.
Providence, the education, government, and commerce hub of Rhode Island is filled with creativity, curiosity, and culinary wonders. In a small footprint, you will find early American history, world-renowned higher education, and international cuisine to tickle your tastebuds. Only 45 miles south of Boston, it offers great access to all that New England has to offer. In contrast to this plethora of positivity, it is also one of the least biblically-minded metros in the country. A city filled with immigrants, refugees and many children living below the poverty level. Come bring the hope of the gospel to this economically and ethnically diverse corner of the country!
This summer God is inviting you to come share His heart for the people of Providence. Will you come? We need compassionate, energetic, relational, faith-filled people who are willing to live in the city and bring the message of Jesus in a bold and relevant way.
The Providence Summer Mission exists in order to provide students an opportunity to experience the city together with a team of Cru staff, volunteers, and students. It is an opportunity to take steps of faith, learn about the unique issues and challenges of ministry in the city, grow in leadership experience and receive ministry training to be able to better talk with people from all walks of life about Jesus.
