The Kind of Work You’ll be Doing
- Organize and transform the data to make it ready for data analysis
- Filter, clean, and review data to ensure accuracy by using software engineering best practices (version control, testing, continuous integration)
- Work closely with the data engineers and data analysts to ensure all processes are streamlined and reliable
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Maintain documentation related to datasets and analysis to ensure common definitions and data use
- Create integrated views of data collected from multiple sources
- Aid in the development and design of analytics projects as necessary
- Create measurement frameworks that identify KPIs and diagnostic measures
- Create and design dashboards that align to ministry objectives and various audiences
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports/dashboards
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Synthesize and interpret marketing and product data into a narrative of ministry performance and actionable insights
- Discover opportunities for improving the organization’s systems and processes through the use of data analytics
- Collaborate with the organization’s data engineering team to build and maintain complex data models and introduce new data sources as needed
- Training and coaching other members of the organization as necessary so that they are capable of using various data tools and communicating with other members of the data team
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics required, Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in data analysis/engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
