Pay Level: $58,430 - $77,910 – Full Time

The Kind of Work You’ll Be Doing

  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.

  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

  • Software integration, external interface development and technical documentation.

  • Design and develop some aspects of data conversion.

  • Follow detailed functional and technical specifications to configure/code enhancements and bug fixes.

  • Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections according to standard operating procedures.

  • Troubleshoot, document and assist in the resolution of technical issues.

  • Solve complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.

  • Analyze, design, develop, unit tests and maintain enhancements to existing software applications while following Cru's software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.

  • Produce workable, efficient code that meets technical specifications.

  • Unit and system test his/her own code as well as the code of co-workers.

  • Document functional and technical solutions adhering to standard operating procedures.

  • Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers.

  • Code individual modules and moderately complex functions, solving technical issues where precedent does not normally exist.

  • Assumes responsibility for projects with minimal supervision.

Education and/or Experience

  • Proven professional and/or educational experience as a Java developer (5+ years).

  • Demonstrable portfolio of released applications.

  • Familiarity with OOP design principles.

  • BS Computer Science and/or educational/professional equivalent.

Skills that are a plus (but not required)

  • Kotlin
  • Rails
  • AngularJS, ReactJS, JavaScript
