The transcript below is provided for those who would like to read our editor’s message.

Rachel Geckle: Hi, everyone. I am Rachel Geckle, and I am excited to share an announcement with you today. After serving for four years as the editor-in-chief of Cru Storylines™, I am now thrilled to be passing the baton to Melody Copenny.

Mel is a gifted communicator. She has been serving as a journalist on our team and for the last few years as the managing editor of Cru Storylines. So, Mel, I would love for you to share more about yourself, and also your vision for Cru Storylines moving forward.

Melody Copenny: Definitely, Rachel. It’s been such an honor to serve with you and under your leadership the last four years, and it is incredibly inspiring for me to now be in a position to lead our team in a new season. As I consider my leadership, what I’m very motivated by is to lead with grace, to lead with creativity and to also lead with innovation.

At Cru Storylines, we are committed to telling stories of God at work in this world in and through His people. We also want to provide you with stories that will encourage you to take steps of faith in your own spiritual journey. Thank you for engaging with us and for giving us the opportunity to journey with you this year — and in the time to come.

Thank you for the privilege of having served you as editor in chief. I pray that the stories within Cru Storylines will continue to inspire and encourage you just as they have for me.
In Christ,
Rachel Geckle
