“Lord, use me to build Your church,” said Phean, a Cambodian house church leader with a contagious smile.
Phean once described himself as a bad man—one who mistreated his wife and had a broken family. But when his new faith in Christ transformed him, he prayed this simple prayer. He never dreamed that God would answer it by changing hundreds of lives through him.
Global Church Movements, a church-planting ministry of Cru®, partners with and trains people to establish new churches and faith communities. GCM provides resources like the JESUS film and other tools online so that every rural village, suburban neighborhood, urban high-rise and digital community has access to the gospel.
Since 2010, Christians around the world have established more than 100,000 churches with the help of GCM.
GCM is part of a worldwide network of more than 70 Christian organizations and denominations, together seeking to plant 5 million churches by 2020. Since 2011, this alliance—known as the Global Alliance for Church Multiplication—has launched 1.3 million churches in 108 countries.

Born in Colorado, Mike majored in acting/radio, TV and film at Kansas University. Since 1983, he’s served with the campus, Hollywood and military ministries of Cru® and now works at Cru’s World Headquarters at Lake Hart in Orlando, Florida.
