We believe that every person is made in the image of God, and therefore every person is to be treated with dignity. Everyone has a story, and now is the time to listen to our African American brothers and sisters. The recent ruthless murders that have occurred, compounded by the daily injustices that have been experienced, set the stage for us to engage in new ways with our friends. We can no longer remain silent, but must join in with what Jesus is already doing... "proclaiming good news to the poor, and setting the captives and the oppressed free." (Luke 4:18)

There are students in our communities who are fearful to walk outside...students who feel "less than' because of the color of their skin...students who long to feel freedom from the systemic injustices that they, and generations before them, have experienced.  Our world is broken, and so are we. Now is the time to ask the Spirit for renewal and revival not only in our country but in our own lives!
