Take Me Deeper, Than My Feet Could Wander

mykalia main picThree summers ago, I went on summer project to San Diego, California where I learned how to share my faith and realized how important it was to share Christ’s love to others. Last summer, God placed me a in a sex-trafficking prevention home with 54 Thai girls. It was in Thailand that God changed my perspective on life. I am so blessed that I got to see God’s heart for the nations. I have seen that with each mission trip I have been on, God reveals something different to me each time.

With this summer, I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve our God in East Asia for six weeks. I know being in East Asia is going to be challenging but I also know that the gospel is much needed there! There are multiple reasons why I should stay back. I should be working because I’m student teaching next spring.  But as I am praying about this trip, God has really calmed my heart. I realized that there is nothing more important than sharing the gospel.

Through this journey I have been clinging onto God’s promise in Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for your Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Each day, I am getting excited and praying for East Asia. My prayers are for God to prepare our hearts  for his mission and to seek a relationship with those who does not know him yet.
