Daniel Hill is the author of White Awake and the forthcoming The End of Supremacy. He is the founding and senior pastor of River City Community Church, located in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago. The church’s core values are worship, reconciliation and neighborhood development. They long to see increased spiritual renewal and social justice in the entire city, demonstrating compassion and alleviating poverty as tangible expressions of the kingdom of God.
Prior to founding the church in 2003, Daniel was part of a series of online startups in the ’90s before serving for five years on the staff of Willow Creek Community Church. Daniel has a bachelor’s in business, a master’s in theology, a certificate in church-based community and economic development from Harvard Divinity School, and a doctorate of ministry from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. Daniel is married to Elizabeth, a psychology professor, and they are the proud parents of Xander and Gabriella.
