PERU - Lima

This mission is open to both high school and college students. It begins in LA on June 25th with a kick-off conference and mission briefing. Your team will fly to Peru from LAX on June 30th.

Peru is the third-largest country in South America. It is made up of a variety of landscapes, from mountains and beaches to deserts and rainforests. The people of Peru are a mix of many different cultures, including Indians, Spaniards, other Europeans, descendants of African slaves, and Asians. Until recently, most people lived in the countryside. But now, more than 70 percent live in cities, particularly along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, where the capital, Lima, is located with a population of more than 9 million people. The world’s largest rainforest, the Amazon, covers nearly half of Peru, and the Amazon River, the world’s longest river, starts in Peru.

Join us in Peru for a great opportunity to connect with and befriend Peruvian students. You will have the chance to speak in classrooms, school assemblies, and school outreaches, and connect with students in common areas. It will be a fun time sharing what it’s like to be a high school student in America and learn about Peruvian culture. There will be time to follow up with new believers and come alongside in-country staff to help launch spiritual movements on campus.

This mission will also have the opportunity to partner with Filter of Hope to provide access to clean drinking water in the community. Come, BE A VOICE, as you build relationships with Peruvian students and share the life-changing message of the Gospel.
