We are created for authentic community, yet we struggle to find the connection we crave. What role does shame and spiritual battle play in keeping us from experiencing all that Jesus has for us in community? How do we intentionally allow ourselves to be truly known? How do we create safe places for others? Does social media help or hurt us in our quest to connect? We will talk honestly about God’s heart for all of us to live in an authentic grace and truth community. We will also discuss steps we can take to live our lives in rich connection with God and others.
Where and when have you experienced the delight of God? What would you do for 24 hours if the only criteria was to pursue your deepest joy? These questions are invitations to remember that you were created to connect with God and encounter His goodness. In a season where you have been stretched thin and have tried to stay afloat amidst chaos, there is a celebration and taste of pleasure waiting for you. It can be found in the spiritual disciplines of playing, praying, and resting. Our time together will include engaging the Scriptures, story telling, and gaining practical ways to engage in these disciplines. They will bring connection to Jesus, curiosity and abundance!
Is God really there? What if I don’t feel His presence? Is any of this stuff in the Bible even possible? In this seminar we hope to engage with our doubt and discuss practical ways to move forward as Christians, even with our questions.
The Holy Spirit conjures up a plethora of images and emotions for several different people in several different ways. As a result it’s easy to pigeonhole the Holy Spirit into whatever perspective we’re comfortable with. Unfortunately to do so undermines the greatness of who He is, as well as the vibrancy of life when aware of His leading. In this seminar our aim is to work through what might be confusing or challenging, strengthening our understanding of who the Holy Spirit is and how He’s at work, so that we can join Him in the work as well.
