Adam Edgerly /// Pastor, Leader, Director /// Southern California

Adam Edgerly is an interculturalist and the CEO of Culture Consultants, working to help senior executives achieve peak performance through executive coaching and leadership training. He has led retreats and workshops on five continents for thousands of participants. He holds an MA in intercultural studies from Biola and a MBA from Emory University. Adam also serves as lead pastor of Newsong Los Angeles Covenant Church. Prior to his ministry at Newsong LA, Adam served the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination as the associate director of global evangelism and regional director of church planting and community transformation. Adam lives in Southern California, where he enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife and daughter.


James Choung /// Intervarsity staff, Author, Speaker /// Los Angeles, CA

James Choung serves as Vice President of Strategy & Innovation at InterVarsity, where he oversees evangelism, discipleship, planting, growth, missions, multiethnic initiatives, ministry in digital spaces & campus engagement. His work has been published in three different Christian magazines and he has written two books. He speaks frequently at campuses, churches, and conferences, and has taught seminary classes on culture, leadership development and evangelism. James studied management science and marketing from MIT before going to Seminary. He is also ordained with the Vineyard USA, and has previously served on the pastoral staff of a Boston-area urban church plant, of a megachurch in Seoul, and led an LA-adjacent house church. For fun, he likes to travel with his wife, tease his two sons, spoil his daughter, bask in Los Angeles’ endless summer, and swing a racket in hopes of playing something like tennis.


Aziz Moris /// Cru staff, Leader /// Egypt

Aziz Moris got involved with Cru as a student in1993 and joined staff after he graduated. In 2001 he became the campus leader for the Cairo team and went on to lead the Egyptian National Leadership team. Today he spearheads the student-led movement in the North Africa Middle East (NAME) region which encompasses 19 countries throughout the area. By 2020, Aziz is trusting the Lord to see a spiritual ministry presence on 50% of the campuses in the NAME region and have a spiritual movement on 25% of the campuses. He wants to see 4 million students in the region hear the gospel and train 10,000 multiplying disciples.


Vivian Mabuni /// Cru staff, Author, Speaker /// Mission Viejo, CA

Vivian Mabuni joined staff with Cru 28 years ago and served on the UC Berkeley and UCLA campuses and on the Epic National Executive Team (Epic is the Asian American ministry of Cru). A national conference and retreat speaker, Vivian is passionate about seeing God raise up a generation of leaders who will influence the college campus as well as families, churches, communities and the world. Her first book, “Warrior In Pink: A Story of Cancer, Community and the God Who Comforts” (Discovery House Publishers) released in April 2014. Vivian is a writer for SheReadsTruth and speaker for IF:Gathering. Married 26 years to her husband, Darrin, and mom to three wonderful kids, Jonathan (24), Michael (20), and Julia (15). They live in Mission Viejo, California along with their German Shepherd, Koa.


Tim Muehlhoff /// Author, Professor /// Southern California

Tim Muehlhoff (Ph.D. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) served on staff of Cru for 30 years. He teaches communication at Biola University where he specializes in gender, conflict resolution, apologetics, and family communication. He has been selected by students and faculty as professor of the year. He is the author of numerous books including Authentic Communication: Christian Speech Engaging Culture, The God Conversation: Using Illustrations and Stories to Explain Your Faith (with JP Moreland), I Beg to Differ: Navigating Difficult Conversations with Truth and Love, and the newly released, Winsome Persuasion: Christian Influence in a Post-Christian World. He is the co-host of the popular podcast, Art of Relationships. In addition to teaching, Tim and his wife, Noreen, are frequent speakers at FamilyLife Marriage Conferences. He lives in Southern CA with his wife Noreen, and three boys.
