Greensboro-Leonce-Crump

Leonce Crump Jr /// Author, Speaker, Pastor /// Atlanta, GA

Léonce Crump Jr., is an author, international speaker, and the founder and senior pastor of Renovation Church in Atlanta. His passion is to see the Church committed to operating as God’s redemptive agents in the world.

During his years at the University of Oklahoma, Léonce was an All-American wrestler and defensive end for the Sooner football team; he went on to play professional football for the New Orleans Saints.

In 2006, God called Léonce to Atlanta, where he began to plant Renovation Church. Léonce wrote about the obstacles he and his family faced and the revelations he uncovered during this process in Renovate: Changing Who You Are By Loving Where You Are. He has been in ordained ministry for nine years and hold graduate degrees from the University of Tennessee and Resurgence Theological Training Center. He is currently earning his Master of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary, and a member of the Acts 29 church planting network.

He and his wife, Breanna, live in the heart of downtown Atlanta with their two daughters and son.

Matt Papa is a songwriter, worship leader, and author who longs to see every corner of the world set ablaze by the love of God and to lead people into an encounter with the risen Lord. His latest project "Church Songs" offers five new hymns co-written with Matt Boswell and Aaron Keyes.

Matt has ministered all over the world alongside gifted communicators such as David Platt, John Piper, Matt Chandler, Francis Chan, Rick Warren, Tim Keller, and David Nasser.

Andy Mineo /// Recording Artist, Communicator /// NYC, NY

New York native Andy Mineo is a hip hop recording artist known for his reflective lyricism. A born communicator with comedic timing, he has become a social media juggernaut with an audience of over 1.3 million and growing.

His sophomore album, Uncomfortable, became the No. 1 Independent record in the country and delivered a No. 3 and No.10 position on Billboard’s Hip Hop and Top 200 album charts, respectively. Mineo headlined the Uncomfortable Tour, a 52-city tour which sold out legendary venues across America and in Europe. He has appeared on Sirius XM’s Sway In The Morning, MTV, and his colossal hit “You Can’t Stop Me” won an ESPN Whammy Award for MLB’s Top Walk Up Song.

Andy Mineo carries his music beyond through scripting, producing and directing many of his own music videos. He also created a three-season webseries on YouTube called “Saturday Morning Car-Tunez” which garnered more than 1 million views and gave fans a glimpse into his creative process and personal life.

KA Ellis /// Author, Professor, Cultural Advocate

K.A. Ellis explores the zones where identity, human rights and theology intersect. She has performed, spoken and lectured in Eastern Europe, Canada, Switzerland, the Caribbean, Indonesia and in South America.

In her 20-year career, Mrs. Ellis appeared in classrooms, conferences, on television, on film and onstage, headlining at the Kennedy Center and the Fabulous Fox theatre in St Louis. For eight years, she hosted a morning radio program in the Pacific Northwest, PRAISE 1065FM.

Currently she writes and lectures on Theology, Human Rights, and Global Religious Freedom. She is president and co-founder of Makazi Institute, training and equipping the next generation of cultural analysts.

Since 2006, she has collaborated with the Swiss based charity, International Christian Response, and travels internationally advocating for global religious freedom. In January of 2016, she launched the #WePersevere Campaign.

Mrs. Ellis serves as adjunct faculty with Erskine Seminary and as full time faculty with the Chattanooga Fellows Program.

She holds a Master of Art in Religion (MAR Theological) from Westminster Theological Seminary, a Master of Fine Art (MFA) from the Yale School of Drama, and is a PhD candidate at the Oxford Center for Mission Studies in England.

Claude Hickman /// Author, Speaker /// Southern California

Claude Hickman is the Executive Director of The Traveling Team. After marrying his wife Rebecca, they spent seven years traveling and speaking about missions on campuses in 49 of the 50 states. 

Today, Claude oversees a team who challenge student groups on every university in America every two years. Claude is a graduate and guest speaker at Dallas Theological Seminary; the author of Live Life On Purpose, and a former professional BMX athlete who continues to be involved with action sports events around the world. 

He lives with his family in Southern California, and continues to develop leaders, speak around the country, and awaken God's people to God's purpose.

Paul Tripp /// Pastor, Author, Speaker /// Philadelphia, PA

Paul David Tripp is a pastor, author, and conference speaker. He is the president of Paul Tripp Ministries, which exists to connect the transforming power of Jesus Christ to everyday life. He also serves as the Executive Director of The Center for Pastoral Life and Care.

Paul has written many books on Christian living and travels around the world preaching and teaching. Paul's driving passion is to help people understand how the gospel of Jesus Christ speaks with practical hope into what people experience in this broken world.

He lives in Philadelphia and is hopelessly in love with his wife, Luella. They have four grown children.

Greensboro-Thomas-Weakley

Thomas Weakley /// Professor, Speaker, Editor

Dr. Thomas Weakley graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Speech Communication. He joined Cru staff 35 years ago, and has served as a team leader at WKU since 1985. He also coaches Cru movements at the University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University, and the University of Tennessee.

Since earning his doctorate from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, he’s worked as an adjunct professor at WKU and also taught at Lindsey Wilson College and SBTS. He has spoken at conferences around the U.S. and in the Philippines, Poland, Belarus and Slovakia.

Thomas and his wife Laurie have three grown children. In May 2016, he suffered a massive heart attack coming within 5 minutes of death. This experience has impacted him greatly.
