Cru is a great place for you to walk with God and do ministry during your years as a college student in the unique environment on campus, but we don’t take the place of a local church. We encourage everyone to worship and be under the leadership of a local body. Athens has many great churches that welcome students each Sunday. We have listed a few below, in alphabetical order, which are close to campus or popular with Cru students, but this list is certainly not exhaustive. It’s just offered as a help to get you started.

Classic City Church

Meets at 595 Prince Avenue, a 5 minute drive from campus.

Cleveland Road Baptist Church

In Bogart, just west of Athens.

Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church

Meets in Normaltown.

Living Hope Church

Located on Lexington Road east of the B&B Theater. Convenient for those in East Athens.

North Avenue Church

Meets inside Central Baptist Church on 720 Danielsville Rd at 3:30pm.

Prince Avenue Baptist Church

On Monroe Highway outside Loop 10.

Redeemer Presbyterian Church

Located on Pulaski across from Chase Bank, within walking distance from campus.

Watkinsville First Baptist Church

In Watkinsville, south of Athens
