Volunteering with Cru at the University of Montana

Volunteer Statement: We offer others the opportunity to volunteer with Cru for the mutual benefit of engaging in mission together. We strive to empower people to use their gifts, talents, passions, and ideas to accomplish the mission of connecting UM students to Jesus. We believe volunteers bring unique benefits through their experiences, skills, and freedom to focus. For those who volunteer with us, we commit to pursue clear communication with truth and grace, to collaborate & design experiences that equip your life as a whole, to receive and give feedback, to hold each other accountable, to operate with reasonable flexibility, and to encourage and appreciate volunteer efforts. (Ephesians 4:1-16)

Cru at UM Mission: “That every UM student would be invited to consider a relationship with Jesus during college.”

  • “every” This means we partner with others to reach our vision.
  • “every” This means we strive to invite without discrimination, both Christian & non-Christian
  • “invited” This means we are intentional about initiating conversations with people.
  • “invited” This means we invite people—not pressure people.
  • “relationship with Jesus” This means we are about Jesus changing hearts and lives
  • “during college” This means we are strategic during a limited time period.
