Olympic Games

You can have an active role in this year’s Olympic games.

The Olympics inspire us. The games are thrilling, and there’s so much human emotion in each competition.

A tiny African country wins its first medal. A swimmer comes from behind to take the gold.  Records broken. Victories shared.

But what will be your role this year? Are you just a fan?

You’ll be caught up in the drama of your favorite event, but what if you could do more?

If you sign up by Friday, Athletes in Action will send you a list of Olympians to pray for by name.

If you missed the sign up deadline, just begin praying for those you see competing.

Pray for AIA’s ministry at the games. They will have chaplains available, as well as daily worship and fellowship times. Pray for a different topic every day of the games.

Ask friends and neighbors to join you in watching the games. During commercials or downtime, you could watch a clip from Struggle and Triumph. Watch it now if you haven’t yet—it’s inspiring!

Link to an athlete’s story on your Facebook or Twitter page. Pick your favorite sport and let your friends hear an athlete’s story whose faith is tried to their sport.
