In assembling critical mass to launch a new ministry we don’t want to miss those the Lord has placed near the campus and burdened to be a part of the ministry. They have a roll to play in establishing this new movement of God. In some cases these volunteers may possess training, gifts, and experience well beyond your own. While it is critical to involve volunteers in the pioneering effort it is equally important that due-diligence is done in reviewing the qualifications of a potential volunteer. As the apostle Paul counsels us: “Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others . . . The sins of some men are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them" (1 Timothy 5:22,24).
In the PDF above are some forms and questions that will assist you in being thorough as you interview and approve potential volunteers in your ministry.
