Mangling the Needle, Part Three
Thursday, July 24
On my last 2 posts, I've included lessons from students on project after spending a week with students from one of the most prestigious secular private high schools in Mexico.
Here are 3 more comments from students:
Jarrod Kahre (15) from Hungary
My week has been an amazing experience for me. On the first day I shared my faith with Carlos, used Soularium, and went through the 4 Spiritual Laws. He was extremely interested and went on to a Campus Crusade Web site I had recommended to him that night that explained more about my faith. He loved it and seemed sincere about wanting God in his life. He agreed with everything I shared with him. I'm just praying his heart is in the right place.
Jessica West (16) grew up in France and Ivory Coast
After suffering a really big disappointment with my partners laughing at my testimony and both of them talking in Spanish (to each other) the whole time, God has been teaching me to let Him work in the lives of these girls. I personally can't change their minds, but God can and he has been telling me to have faith in Him and keep going even when I get discouraged. God has also been teaching me to give thanks in all kinds of situations.
Seth Vaughn (18) from Hungary
In talking to a guy on the bus ride home who is not my partner I found him extremely curious and receptive to what I had to say about Jesus Christ. We got off the topic of church and he immediately said, "Please tell me what you believe about God. I want to know." God always opens doors even when you least expect it!
