Long-term missions opportunities mean joining as a full-time staff member of Cru.
To help prepare you, you'll attend a Cru New Staff Training conference in early May or November to learn the distinctives of our mission and be trained in how to develop your financial ministry partner team. In addition, you and your kids will attend cross-cultural training.
The main steps in the process of taking a long-term assignment as an International Representative (IR) are:
- Complete all steps in the application process and receive confirmation of acceptance. If you are not currently a financially-supported staff member with Cru your application and acceptance process will consist of 2 parts – (1) applying to serve with Cru and (2) applying for an international assignment.
- If you are not currently a supported staff member of Cru you will need to attend New Staff Training. This training is given 4 times each year. Visit the training page to look at dates and locations.
- Develop a financial partnership team to cover the expenses associated with the assignment.
