SUMMARY: Assist in the donation process by sorting, batching donations and scanning batches on our imaging remittance machines; also performing duties involving batch control, form ID, cashiering and verification and encoding of batches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive mail, sort by type of envelope and prepare for envelope opener machine.
- Operate envelope opener machine, remove donations from opened envelopes, verify and match donations to designation, determine appropriate type of processing according to standardized procedures, and sort into appropriate batches. Batch and sort donations according to method of processing.
- Receive, open and hand sort exception mail.
- Operate the NCR and Opex imaging remittance machines, scanning batches into the system, including troubleshooting rejects, jams and processing errors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and one to three years of clerical experience and data entry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able perform numeric keying at 7,500 keystrokes per hour with less than 5% error rate.
