SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Building Services, performs a variety of clerical duties supporting the Building Services Director, which includes the Maintenance, Office Services and Housekeeping staff. Performs various general laborer responsibilities on occasion and coordinates assigned office activities. Administrates, maintains and trains staff members with the Building Services Asset Management Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs secretarial and clerical duties for the assigned Director of Building Services while assisting with a variety of clerical and secretarial functions. Administers and oversees the maintenance and training of staff members as it relates to the Building Services Asset Management Program (Work Order software). Arranges and schedules meetings; establish and maintain filing systems. Reviews and proofreads documents, records and forms for accuracy, completeness and conformance to applicable rules and regulations. Responds to routine requests for information in person or by enclosing materials or sending form letters. Compose correspondence; report information through a variety of options such as texting, emailing, in person or by telephone where judgment, knowledge and interpretation of policies may be necessary.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in secretarial skills and two years of secretarial or general clerical experience. High school diploma plus one year of responsible maintenance. Must possess Valid Florida driver’s license. Must be able to type 55 words per minute and be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Must possess great communication skills and organization techniques.
