When Dan Minell, a Cru staff member in New York, heard about the explosion in northern Manhattan he asked the question we all ask in moments of crises, “what can I do?”

For 30 years, Cru has been working along side inner city churches to reach the poor of New York City. Hundreds of volunteers have come through the Cru warehouse this year alone in order pack food to be given out in the name of Christ along with the hope of the gospel under the direction of the inner city church. So, when the time came, the New York team was ready to spring into action.

Right across the street from the explosion is Bethel Gospel Assembly, a long time partner ministry of Cru that has been severely impacted by the explosion. At least 3 of their church members have been killed in the explosion.

Despite these challenging circumstances, Cru and the members Bethel Gospel Assembly are delivering food and the love of Christ to those affected by the explosion. Please pray for the church, the survivors and for who have not yet heard the good news of the hope we have in Jesus.
