AUGUST 4, 2011Recently there has been much talk in ministry circles concerning the new name for Campus Crusade for Christ. Moving forward, the leadership of Campus Crusade has chosen to go with the name “Cru.” Though the organization’s name has changed, it’s heartbeat remains the same … namely the mission of taking the name of Jesus to every person on the planet.
While the reach of Cru is much wider than students, no movement has made a greater impact on the campuses of the world in the last generation. As a pastor, and a close friend of Cru’s student leadership, I celebrate all that God is doing through this ministry and have great expectation for all that is to come.
Whether you have supported Campus Crusade in the past and are sensing a leading to support Cru moving forward, I would do so with confidence and a generous spirit, knowing that the nations will be glad and Christ will be exalted.
